PAINT
Introduction
As Sheffield Metals' primary market is Architectural Roofing, virtually all of our stock items are coated with either 70% Kynar 500 or Hylar 5000 resin paints. Due to the unique and varied demands of this market, Sheffield offers an extensive and varied inventory of colors and products.
Stock Colors
Sheffield's stock systems consist of a Kynar 500 or Hylar 5000 resin topcoat with a primer coat on both sides and an all off-white building products backer. Most of our stock colors meet Energy Star Cool Roof requirements and are called COOLR colors. These colors are stocked in both the industry standard 30 Gloss and in 10 Gloss or less. Take a look at the Product Availability Matrix to view a listing of the colors offered by gauge, width and substrate. Also included is a list of our 30 Gloss and 10 Gloss colors with their individual Solar Reflectivity and Emissivity ratings. Color Charts and metal Color strips are available upon request.
Abrasion Resistant Coatings
Sheffield is capable of supplying a number of paint systems to satisfy the requirements for extra abrasion resistance. We will also supply clear Kynar 500 or Hylar 5000 coating over our normal system.
Custom Colors and Alternative Paint Systems
Custom color matching and alternative paint systems such as Polyesters, Silicone-polyesters (SMP) Plastisols etc. can be quoted upon request.
Masking (Peelcoat)
A clear masking (peelcoat) is available over virtually every Sheffield item.
